How to define parallel/sequential document flow for a project?

Sequential Flow:
1. Click on 'Document Summary' to view the list of documents added to a project
2. Note the Sequential button which is enabled by default indicating that the documents should be executed in sequential mode from top to bottom'
3. If the user tries to publish a document (ex: GxP Assessment) without completing the workflow for previous document (ex: URS), an error message will be displayed
Parallel Flow:
4. Disable the button to switch the execution to parallel mode where the documents can be executed in any order without depending on the completion status of previous document in the sequence.
5. If we repeat step 3, in case of parallel execution, the GxP Assessment will be allowed to publish without checking the status of URS document
