How to bulk upload Test Cases for a Test Run/Script?

After creating test run described in previous step

1. Click on 'Bulk Upload' icon in the Scripted Testing window

2. The bulk import pop-up window appears with option to download of sample excel file. User can download this file and update it

• Upon opening the excel file for updating, we can view multiple tabs:

1. SampleTestcase - Test case header/main data is updated here. One line per test case should be maintained. Starts from Row#2 of excel as Row#1 contains header data.
2. TestStep - Multiple test steps pertaining to each test case can be maintained here. The "Row No." column should be filled with Row number from the sheet 'SampleTestCase'. Reference for each test step can be defined but it should be from the documents mapped for that test case in 'SampleTestcase' sheet.
3. URS - The approved User requirements list is displayed here for reference.
4. Specification - The approved Functional specification list is displayed here for reference.
5. SCS - The approved System Configuration specification list is displayed here for reference.
6. RiskAssessment - The approved Risk assessment list is displayed here for reference.

3.Fill the sheets for "SampleTestcase" and "TestStep" as per below example

• Save and close the Excel file.

4. Go back to application as displayed in step#2. Click on 'Choose file'

5. Select the updated file and click open to upload the file

6. The uploaded test case header data will be displayed on the screen with option to view test step details

7. Click on 'Save' to upload the bulk data into application

8. The updated data is visible in the test run. The test case data can be updated using 'Edit' button if required.
